Charlie Diaries - March 19, 2020

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! It stormed last night!  Poured and poured, things are flooded, again. It's hard to walk in muck boots, at least it sure looks like it, and it must really be because my cowgirl says bad words while trudging through the #$#$%$# knee-deep mud, "the never stopping,  godawful, so sick of it mud"  

Some green grass is showing through the mud though, and everybody here is super excited about it. I tasted it, and fail to get why everybody is wound up about it......bleach.......the cereal is soooooo much better!!

Thankfully the rain finally stopped today,  so even with the stupid mud, we worked outside trimming trees, and shrubs. We are "waaaaay behind  because of the ridiculous amount of rain we've had " so we "have to get as much done as quickly as possible"  All trimming, tree cutting, etc "has to stop soon because of birds nesting." I have in my life done anything because of birds.........but there are a lot of things I have never done that I do now because of my cowgirl. 😁

We are building lots of brush piles.  I help, like a lot, but I don't get the thanks that I should, just because my style of building brush piles is different than hers. 🙄

She is already talking about maybe this will be the year she, at long last, finally finds a hummingbird nest.  Whatever, but it seems really important to her so I'll try to help.🙂

I keep hearing about avoiding people,  staying at home, not eating out..........my cowgirl has been doing this ever since I met her but it sounds like there are a lot of people who are unfamiliar with it.  My cowgirl is ninja-level at people avoidance. 

She keeps everything in place to allow people avoidance for long periods of time.   She is rocking this!! 

Be safe, be kind, get what you need,  help others, stay sweet, wash your hands, avoid people,  spend what money you can with local businesses!!!!!  

And remember....... this will end, and when it does do everything you can to fuel the rebound,  in enthusiasm, in appreciation of this still great country, and absolutely in the economy!!
