Charlie Diaries - Jan 19, 2020

My gaiter is super cool, and really warm, lol!! I just love having it put on every morning.

It's my favorite!!

My cowgirl plays "where in the world is Charlie", like a lot, and for some reason, she's much better at it lately.......hnmmmmmm

Part of our day was making preparations for some $$%##$%%!!! cold weather that will be here soon.  Annnnnnndddddd, I lost my gaiter..........uh oh!!!!!

We headed over to the little long house that she pulls behind our truck sometimes,  to get it ready for something, and wooooo hoooooo, there's my gaiter. I was questioned as to how it got there,  but

I just gave her a hug and waited for her to put it back on, and then I chased a squirrel.  It's a great way to change the subject, plus some squirrels are quite sketchy!!

On our way to get a truckload of feed, we stopped at a stop  sign in town, and she waved at a friend standing on the sidewalk, he owns a gun shop on the corner, he waved, I popped my head up and he said, "Well, there's Charlie!!" Another guy said who's that???

( Come on,  WHERE has he been??)

And  Gun Guy said,  "Who's that??!! That's Charlie, she's famous!!"

Awwwwww, what fun! I love fans, almost as much as I love eggs!!

And we went to the bank for treats, my favorite!!!

I was abandoned again this afternoon,  for days and days and days, with the offensive Kong. The agony and despair!!!!  I was quite dramatic about it, which did not go over well.........at all !!!!

Guess what??? My cowgirl does NOT do drama, not even a little.  She told me if I acted like that again that she was going to make me watch an ASPCA commercial so that I would get something called appreciation.  She gave me a rundown on the aforementioned commercial.......... Heavens to Murgatroyd!!!!!!

While I still have separation anxiety,  let me just say I am a VERY lucky pup, and I am so glad my guy found and rescued me!!!! And I'm thankful for a great life on the farm!!

If you need a great snuggle buddy there are lots of hugs and kisses waiting in shelters, listed in ads, on social media,  walking the roads, and at breeders, too.

We four-legged friends have so much to offer!!!! We are the best listeners,  offer no judgment, and always keep secrets!!

Saturday was a really weird night, bedtime came........and went.........I requested we go to bed.....denied, hmmffttt .....and then my cowgirl got dressed in a different outfit........what is happening????

Dear God,  please don't let me be left behind again!!!

In an effort to swing things my way, I hid that dang Kong under my blanket.  If she can't find it, she can't fill it and leave me with it, right????

It's the middle of the night and my cowgirl put on her coat,  grabbed the thing my long face buddies wear when doing stuff,

( It's kinda like my collar and has an extra-long leash) and then under lots and lots of twinkling stars, we caught Frosty!

What in the world are we doing??

I am so excited I am overcome with the zoomies, which helps keep me warm because it is windy and soooo cold.

My cowgirl put Frosty in the long slim house she has behind our big truck, loaded me up, which is stepping aside to clear me for launch, then my guy gets in with two big mugs of coffee,  and off we all go...........to where I don't know, doing what I have no idea........this is so weird!!!!

But I didn't get left .......so whatevs!!! 😁

There were stops for gas and snacks, but they were quick because my cowgirl was on a mission to get to the "meeting place"

After a few hours, she pulled over and we waited.

A guy named Alex pulled up behind us, with his truck and little house thing.

My cowgirl got Frosty out, put a different coat on her,  talked to her, then she put her in Alex's little house with some other long face ones, then, Dear God, we left!!!!

I am sooooooo confused,  but my cowgirl was telling my guy that Frosty is getting a fabulous little girl for her birthday, and she will be meeting her late tonight!

Tonight?? It's still night!  We haven't even been to bed. I'm exhausted so I took a little nap. When I woke up it wasn't as dark and I heard my cowgirl say that almost every sunrise she has watched has involved horses.

All I know is I need an egg.............and she pulled up at our house in time for a late breakfast.

Cowgirls are crazy, and I need a nap!!
