Hi.

Charlie Diaries - What a Ridiculous Drive

Charlie Diaries - What a Ridiculous Drive

What another ridiculous drive in that slick white stuff. So many rigs in the median, trapped in the cables........drawn across the highway lanes like moths to a flame. So many rigs just standing still, something we don't have to put up within the country,  thank goodness!!!!! My cowgirl is just a skosh impatient with such foolishness!

The night after the snow gorgeous sparkling stuff appeared it's called hoar frost, that's frozen vapor I was told.

Stayed in the city after the big bash

Ugh, no room to run.

But, the people are such fans! We get a real kick out of it. The treat jar is in the same place,  so convenient for me.

And, when I walked through the lobby after a shift change,  I heard "Hey, Charlie, welcome back " Such nice people at the Hyatt!

I happily provided therapy for a couple, from Kentucky I think, who was missing their pittie. It felt good to give them hugs, and they hugged me back!

Freddy's, oh how I love you, Freddy's!

Road trippin means that diet rules are bent.......... and need I say more than, Freddy's????? My favorite!!!! I was so good, waiting patiently while my cheeseburger cooled, and everyone else chowed down on theirs..........

During the drive, plans made for a fun-filled evening, plus there was discussion about a trip to the ocean. It sounds fantabulous,  and my cowgirl obviously loves the ocean almost as much as me. The discussion continued about when and where then those silly people mispronounced bored!!! Cracked me up because they have a wonderful grasp of English,  and don't usually make those mistakes. Crazy that they would slip and say I would be "boreded", boreded!! Lol, that's ridiculous! It's not even a word, hahahahahahaha, and besides, there's no way I would get bored running up and down a beach, snorkeling,  lounging in a "hammock ", can't wait to find out about all of those!

I don't know what is wrong with them, but they are looking at me kinda weird.......

Oh well,  talk drifted back to now,

and the weekend in the STL,   then........... eeerrrrrrkkkkkkkk

Feeder Guy calls, "thinks one the horses may be sick", and boom instructions are issued like a drill sargent !!! And just like that, we have the zoomies toward our farm!!  A jet has nothing on a Chevy driven by a cowgirl whose horse needs her!

She said something about a new personal best from St Louis, I dunno about all that, but my nap seemed cut a little short.

Anyway, all was well when we woke the horses up. They were rather puzzled by our late night check. My cowgirl stayed up even later to make another check, thankfully everybody is just fine.

It's always something..........raising horses is not for the faint of heart!!!

Me? I'm fabulous,  and loving being a free-range dog again..........Yeeeeee haaaawwww!!!!!!!!
