Hi.

Welcome to my blog. This is where I document my adventures.

Hope you have a nice stay!

Pets! The reason for so many of the things we do!

Ms. Charlie, the beloved rescued Staffy,  loves peanut butter and is a very strong chewer,  so she has the Kong brand fillable chew toy.

I give her the peanut butter filled Kong when I have to leave her at home, or even for a distraction during a long road trip.

I seriously dislike cleaning peanut butter covered knives, spoons, whatever........day after day.

It's especially inconvenient during travel.

Here's how I solved that issue………….

You'll need two Ziplock bags, (one-quart size w/double seal, one-gallon size), a jar of smooth peanut butter, and a knife, spoon, or spatula.

A 40 oz jar will fit in the quart size bag.

Make sure your peanut butter does not contain artificial sweeteners which are bad for dogs.

I use ALDI brand peanut butter.  It does have some sugar, but less than many other brands.

Open, and fold back the top of the quart size bag. Use your chosen utensil to transfer the peanut butter from the jar to the bag.

An entire 40 oz jar will fit.

Make SURE to use the double zippers to get it  SECURELY closed!!!

Snip a bottom corner off, just a small piece.

Now, set the Kong on its top, and gently squeeze the peanut butter into the large hole.

When you have put in the desired amount,  pinch the corner of the bag with your fingers,  then apply a clip.

You can leave it like that,  or for traveling, or just to be extra careful , place the quart bag inside the gallon bag.

Throw a  few packets of hand wipes in the gallon bag if you are traveling.

Hope this helps you and your furry peanut butter lover!!
