Coats, gloves, blankets, red noses, and visible breath........it was FREEZING at the horse show this weekend!!
Here are a couple of tips that have helped me tremendously during that hateful, unnecessary, portion of the year, known as winter
Yes, of course I know that hummingbirds in a group are not referred to as a herd, but hey, I’m a cowgirl, to me every group is subject to be called a herd………...even a murder of crows! ;)
A year!!! A YEAR!! That's how long I've been training on my cowgirl, and do you know how much progress I've made???? Any guesses??? About this much, lordy, cowgirls are easy to love but they are harder than hell to train!!!
So, life is even crazier than usual.
Laptop, phone, laptop, phone, laptop, etc, ugh!!
A broodmare spends much of her time, eating, relaxing, and eating some more, and sucking up a tremendous amount of water to offset all the grain and hay.
Dream had her pre foal vet check, later than usual due to the pandemic, but she got her Caslick opened, additional vaccinations, a thorough examination, and was determined to be ready to foal.
Lots of walks between rounds of storms …...running through the creek, sniffing flowers, checking on nest boxes, running through fields, and wow, woke up a snorty thing, who btw, was less than appreciative. Kinda touchy buggers!
Unfortunately, I lost some of the photos I took along the way, but let's get caught up to date on the progress of the future champion currently being held hostage by Dream Of Margaritas.
Apply with great abandon, and leave only enough coat showing through that you can be identified.
Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! It stormed last night! Poured and poured, things are flooded, again. It's hard to walk in muck boots, at least it sure looks like it, and it must really be because my cowgirl says bad words while trudging through the #$#$%$# knee-deep mud, "the never stopping, godawful, so sick of it mud"
It's pouring again!! I'm getting a little concerned about my glossy coat. Do pup coats mildew??? I do not wish to be green!!
No one ever accused my cowgirl of being a fastidious housekeeper, but she does adore slipping into fresh sheets after a long day, sheets that are crisp, smell good, and straightened out………….
Ms. Charlie, the beloved rescued Staffy, loves peanut butter and is a very strong chewer, so she has the Kong brand fillable chew toy.
A couple of days ago we stopped by the snack bank, visited with my buddy Taylor. He's my favorite!!
Another road trip today, woooooo hooooooo!!!! And, a stop at my favorite place, the snack bank!!! Yay!!
I hear keys jingling! Oh my gosh, my heart races every time I hear that sound. Do I get to go??!! Do I get to go??!! Heaven help me, I can't stand it, please tell me I get to gooooooo!!!!!! Please oh please oh please!!
